Paramedic Services kick off 2015 Toy Drive

Midhurst/ November 12, 2015–County of Simcoe Paramedic Servicescelebrates the kick offthe 13th annual Toy Drive on Nov. 14, 2015. The Toy Drive benefits local children and families during the holiday season. Donations of new, unwrapped toys will be accepted at various locations and parades across Simcoe County beginning Nov. 14 until Dec. 13, 2015.

The 2014 Toy Drive was extremely successful, collecting 5,410 toys, 1,935 lbs of food, and $14,294.13 in monetary and gift card donations for families across Simcoe County.

“The generosity displayed by our residents and businesses over the past 12 years warms the heart,” said Warden Gerry Marshall. “Let’s get together again this year to make Christmas special for the children and families in need in our communities.”

All Toy Drive donations are distributed to local children and families in need by charitable organizations working in partnership with Simcoe County Paramedic Services. Residents are being asked once again for their continued generosity and support in helping those most in need in our region.

County of Simcoe Paramedic Services hope to exceed last year’s totals. Donations can be made at the County of Simcoe Administration Centre, 1110 Highway 26 in Midhurst between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and at all Simcoe County Paramedic stations, where outdoor drop boxes are now available (please do not leave monetary donations in drop boxes – only non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys).
