Climbing GODS Mountains

I want to start of this morning by asking all of you a question. Has anyone in here ever tried to climb GODS Mountains?

I know you are probably wondering what I meant by climbing GODS Mountains.

What I mean is have you ever tried to do a job that you knew it was GODS but you tried to do it any way?

According to the bible the battles don’t belong to us, they belong to GOD

There are certain mountains only God can climb…

It’s not that you aren’t welcome to try; (you see GOD has given free will and he will not try to stop us from climbing the mountains that are for him only) it’s just that you aren’t able…

I mean there are some things that only GOD can do and still here we are as Christians thinking “ I can do that” and what winds up happening is that we just simply make a fool of ourselves. That is the same type of spirit that Satan carries. If the word Savior is in your job description, it’s

because you put it there. Your role is to help the world, not save it. Mount Messiah is one mountain you weren’t made to climb.

Nor is Mount Self-Sufficient. We aren’t able to run the world, nor are we able to sustain it. Some of us think we can. I don’t mean you here in this church personally but somewhere in the church world there are those that think they can. they are self-made. they don’t bow your knees, they just roll up their sleeves and put in another twelve-hour day… which may be enough when it comes to making a living or building a business. But when you face your own grave or your own guilt, your power will not do the trick. That power only comes from GOD himself

Turn in your bibles and look here in Romans 12:3

Rom 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Some of us, maybe not here in this room today but, certainly and most definitely in the realm of the church, seem to think that we are all that and then some, and believe me those kind of will stick out like a sore thumb, and some of you in here know exactly what I’m saying.

We should never think of ourselves as being above GOD. We have to remember that we are the created and not the creator, so why do we things that only GOD can do?

Php 2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

Php 2:2 Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Php 2:3 Let nothing bedone through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Php 2:4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

Php 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Php 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

Now if GOD himself who came to this earth to live as a man can humble himself down and become obedient even as far as going to the cross and suffering the cruelest death ever, then who are we to try to exalt ourselves above the name of Christ. Should we also be Christ like and humble ourselves and stop trying to climb the mountains that belong to GOD. Let us climb only the mountains that GOD has placed before us and let GOD climb the mountains that are his. In other words do what GOD has for you to do and let GOD do the things that only he can do
