Onslow Oktoberfest Guidelines

1.  Food vendors must file out a Temporary Food Permit from the Onslow County Health Department.

2.  Food vendors must attach a copy of their menu to the application. We try to minimize duplicate food items that are sold to try to help each of you to make a profit. Only the host organization, Onslow Community Outreach, is allowed to sell bratwurst, hotdogs or German potato salad.

3.  Your equipment and exhibit must not be longer than the length specified on the application. You are not allowed to encroach on another vendor space or sidewalk. Vendors may purchase two spaces.

4.  All giveaway items must be approved by the Onslow Oktoberfest Committee. Non-profit groups are prohibited from giving away any items that other vendors are selling, such as bottled water, sodas & hotdogs. Please provide sample literature of services and projects that the group undertakes.

5.  Politicians and businesses must purchase a space in order to be able to distribute materials at the festival.

6.  Exhibitors are required to supply their own tent, canopy, tables, chairs and generators. We do not offer electricity.

7.  No stakes may be put in the ground. Please be prepared with cement buckets or sand bags to help keep your tent/canopy in place.

8.  Your booth and display must be neat in appearance, respectful and manned at all times.

9.  Vendors are encouraged to bring a system for disposal of gray water. Do not pour grease, oil, dirty water, food debris, or other waste on the ground, in public trash containers, or down street sewer pipes. It is the responsibility of each vendor to handle his or her waste in a proper manner.

10.  Potable water will be available at a central location.

11.  This year our run will take place Friday, October 24, 2014 at 6 P. M. Food vendors may sell food during the run. Set-up will start at 1:00 P. M. and must be completed by 4:00 P. M. for Health and Fire Department inspections – no exceptions.

12.  Items left overnight must be secured and are not the responsibility of the event organizer.

13.  On Saturday morning vendor set-up is between 7:00 A.M. and 9:00A.M. Volunteers will help you to locate your assigned space and to set-up. All vendors must be completely set-up by 9:00 A.M. for Health & Fire Department iinspections.

14.  The main stage, food court, and beer garden are open 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Non-food vendors shall leave at 6:00 P.M.

15.  Onslow Community Outreach reserves the right to refuse or to remove a vendor from the ffestival.

16.  We guarantee no exclusivity of product. Vendors representing the same company or product are responsible for ensuring compliance with their company rules.

17.  We do not guarantee vendors will have the same space assignment as previous years.

18.  Information regarding space assignment and parking will be emailed or mailed ten (10) days prior to the event.

19.  The event will be held rain or shine, so plan accordingly. No refunds. Payments from vendors, runners and businesses are donations for charitable programs. Net proceeds benefit the Onslow Soup Kitchen, Homeless Shelter and Caring Community Clinic.

20.  Onslow Oktoberfest is not responsible for personal injury, damage or loss of merchandise or personal property while participating in the festival.
