2014 MAPCCS SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

APPLICATION FOR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS

The Maryland Association of Private Colleges and Career Schools (MAPCCS) Scholarship Committee will award 2014 Scholarships as provided by the career schools participating in this annual program (see last page of application).

Please Read Carefully:

1. All applicants must plan to be a successful 2014 high school graduate.

2. All applicants must submit a completed application for each MAPCCS career school to which they are applying by April 25, 2014.

3. A complete application must include: (please check off each item as it is completed)

o An accurately completed scholarship awards application (this form).

o A copy of the applicant’s official high school transcript (a complete academic

record to date which includes grades received during the fall semester).

o TWO Letters of Recommendation (written by a teacher, athletic coach, school administrator, guidance counselor or employer).

o A Letter of Eligibility from the MAPCCS career school of the applicant’s choice, which verifies that the applicant has met the criteria to attend this school. This Letter of Eligibility is available by contacting the MAPCCS career school from the list attached to this application.

4. Send the completed application and supporting documents to the career school of your choice per the attached MAPCCS PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS list.

The completed application must be SUBMITTED TO

the chosen career school by April 25, 2014.

PLEASE NOTE: THE CAREER SCHOOL WILL NEED TO DELIVER THE APPLICATIONS

TO THE MAPCCS OFFICE BEFORE THE FINAL DEADLINE OF May 5, 2014.

5. All completed applications will be presented to an independent Scholarship Awards Committee who will carefully review each application and make the final scholarship recipient selections.

6. All scholarship recipients will be notified by May 16, 2014 and will be invited to attend the MAPCCS Scholarship Awards Ceremony in to be held on May 28, 2014 at the Lincoln College of Technology in Columbia. Scholarships must be accepted and the scholarship recipient enrolled in the MAPCCS career school during the 2014 school year.
