Travel Directions:
The Conference will be held on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. The University of Pennsylvania is located in the heart of University City in West Philadelphia between Market and Spruce Sts. and 40th and 32nd Sts. The conference will be held on the coroner of Market St. and 36th St., which is about a 10 minute walk from Philadelphia’s 30th St. Train Station, or a 5 minute subway ride from City Hall in downtown Philadelphia.

From New York City and Points North and East:
Driving: Take I-95 S to I-676 W (Vine St. Expressway) towards I-76. Then take I-76 south to the first and immediate exit 345 “Market St./30th St. Station”. Follow the signs to Market St. and turn right, heading westbound, on Market St. 36th St. is open to two-way traffic with the conference center located on the right side of Market St. at the 36th St. intersection and the Sheraton is located one block south (left turn at 36th and Market St.). Driving time: ~ 2 hours.
From Washington, D.C., Baltimore, MD, Wilmington, DE, and Points South:
Driving: Take I-95 N and take exit 13 to merge onto I-76 / Valley Forge (*be careful not to take I-476 N to Valley Forge/Plymouth Meeting). Take the ramp onto I-76 W and take exit 345 for “30thSt. Station/Market St.” Follow the signs to Market St. and turn left, heading westbound, on Market St.36th St. is open to two-way traffic with the conference center located on the right side ofMarket St. at the 36th St. intersection and the Sheraton is located one block south (turn left at 36thand Market St.). From Harrisburg and Points West:
Driving: Take I-76 E (Philadelphia). Then take exit 24 for PA-202/I-476/I-76 toward Philadelphia. Merge onto I-76 E. Take exit 345 for “30thSt. Station/Market St.” Follow the signs to Market St. and turn right, heading westbound, on Market St. 36th St. is open to two-way traffic with the conference center located on the right side of Market St. at the 36th St. intersection and the Sheraton is located one block south (left turn at 36th and Market St.). Driving time: ~ 2 hours.
Amtrak:
The arriving station will be code PHL (Philadelphia’s 30th St. Station).
Fares from New York’s Penn Station (based on round-trip tickets) range from $34.00 each way for the Northeast Regional and $129.00 each way for the Acela Express.
Fares from Washington’s Union Station (based on round-trip tickets) range from $63.00 each way for the Northeast Regional and $146.00 each way for the Acela Express.
Fares from Harrisburg, PA (based on round-trip tickets) range from $23.00 to $28.00 each way on the Keystone.

From PhiladelphiaInternationalAirport:
Driving: Head east on Essington Ave/Phila Int’l Airport. Then take the ramp on the left to I-76. Merge onto Penrose Ave. and take the slight left at S 26th St. Take the ramp onto I-76 W and take exit 345 for “30th St. Station/Market St.” Turn left, heading westbound, onto Market St.36th St. is open to two-way traffic with the conference center located on the right side of Market St. at the 36th St. intersection and the Sheraton is located one block south (turn left at 36th and Market St.). Driving time: ~ 15 minutes.
Train: Philadelphia’s SEPTA (regional rail and subway) offers rail services to and from the airport via the R-1 (Yellow line, regional rail). The R-1 can be picked up every 30 minutes (:12 or :42) at any of the airport’s five terminals by following the signs from baggage claim to the railway station. Passengers may exit the train at the “University City” station and walk from 32nd St. and Spruce/South St. to the conference center (approximately a 10 minute walk). Fares range between $4.75 and $7.00 depending on peak versus off-peak times.
The R-1 may also be taken to 30th St. Station and from there passengers can take the Blue/Market-Frankfurt Line to 34th St., which is the closest station to both the Sheraton Hotel and the ConferenceCenter.
Note: Taxis are a viable option for a flat fare of $25.00 (to/from) between the airport and center city.
Intra-city Directions:
Nearest Metro/Subway Station: 34th St. station on the Blue/Market-Frankfurt Line. From center city or 30th St. Station take the Blue line westbound (towards 69th St. Station) and exit at the 34th St. station stop.
Alternate Metro/Subway Station: 36th and Ludlow St. stop on the Green/Subway/Surface Line. From center city take the number 10 train only on the Green line westbound towards Westbrook.
*Note: fares are universally $2.00 (exact cash only / no change). Tokens are good for a full one-way fare, but they may only be purchased at select stations, including: 30th St. Station and City Hall/15th St. Station. Tokens may be purchased from the dispensary machines at a rate of $1.45 each (saves $.55 versus paying cash at the station).
