4.  News from Dr. Crane: Printer Procedure

a.  If a printer, network or stand-alone, dies it will not be replaced.

b.  A list will be created in the future that will exclude some positions from this procedure.

c.  Principals were made aware at a previous principal’s meeting that schools would not be allowed to order new printers.

d.  New networked copiers will be used for printing.

e.  Remind teachers to backup the documents they want on shared drives before they leave for the summer. Shared drives, excluding admin and the Z drive will be deleted beginning in July.

f.  If your school has iPads checked out to teachers you will get an iPad clearance checklist.

5.  News from Jeff- Please share this information with your teachers:

a.  When creating a trouble ticket the building location does not automatically select. It is important to fill in the ticket location.

b.  Jeff will have to cancel any tickets that omit the building.

c.  Destiny will Support the Common Core

i.  Lexile Search, AR Search (only elementary and middle), Standards Search, TitlePeek, One Search

ii.  Summer upgrades are coming! We will upgrade to 10.1

iii.  All teachers will receive training on how to use Destiny to implement the Common Core.

iv.  AR Records- please ensure your vendor is including the AR information in your Marc records in the 526 tag.

d.  LEMONS Lesson

i.  The template will be updated to include the Common Core Standards for next year.

9.  Georgia State Media Festival, April 27th

a.  198 projects advanced!

i.  20 judges will represent Liberty County!

iv.  Judges must fill out a professional leave from and code expenses 39. Your principal must sign and Dr. Crane must approve the form also.
