b)2-ply solid oak pew ends shall be constructed using two 1” thick solid oak panels glued together under high pressure in a cold press for 12 hours. Each panel’s grain direction is reversed to provide strength and stability. All panels are offset prior to gluing so that glue joints do not directly align across from one another. 2-ply pew end finished thickness is 2.”

c)Faced glued pew ends (Butcher Block) shall be constructed using 1” thick Northern Grown Appalachian Red Oak, face glued together. These ends using this type of construction can be made in various thicknesses including 2 3/8”, 2” 1 ½” etc. Construction method shall be determined by exact style of pew end chosen.
