THE PRODUCT

Part three of the project is a product. A product is something which is made to share information. You will be making a product to share information about the storm you are studying. There are many kinds of products.

Before you choose a product, you need to ask yourself why you are making the product. What do you want your product to show? The product you choose will depend upon what it is about your storm that you wish to share with your class. Choose a product that you would enjoy making, one that you have the supplies for, and one that you would do well. For example:

To show how your storm looks, you might choose to make a labeled diagram, a model, or a poster.

To give information about how your storm forms, you might make pictures showing each stage of the forming of the storm, write and illustrate a diagram, or make a booklet showing each stage. Pictures should be accompanied by a caption describing what’s in the picture.

To show the destruction of your storm, you might make a diorama, a model, photographs, or a picture (with a caption).

Important! Your project will be graded based on how well it displays information, how much detail it shows, and for neatness. So take your time and make a project that you can be proud of.

THE PRESENTATION

The final part of the project is sharing it with the class. You will read the report, show the product and explain why you chose it, and answer any questions your classmates may have about the product. So please practice reading the report before the due date.
