Mr. Woods opened the meeting by asking Mr. Fanikos the status of the Advisory Ruling 97-98-1. Mr. Fanikos distributed a copy of the revised ruling and explained that following approval by the Department of Revenue it would be distributed to the Insurance and Repair Industry by the ADALB. The subcommittee expressed their satisfaction with the input the industry had in the negotiations on the paint and material issue. Mr. Fanikos also commented that insurance companies are responding more thoroughly to complaints before the Board and this has lead to many complaints being dismissed.

The companies that participated in the appraisal study submitted their findings to CAR staff. Ms. Gedziun stated that the Claims department will compile the results and present them to the Subcommittee for discussion at the next meeting.

Mr. Doherty made a motion to invite representatives from Motors, ADP, & Mitchell to attend the next subcommittee meeting and discuss their pricing guides on paint and material. Mr. Doran seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
