1988 – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Galway Rose, Caroline Cawley was a beautiful look-a-likefor ‘Snow White’in the title role of Renmore’s 10th annual Pantomime staged at Leisureland from Tues 5th to Sun10th January 1988.
Admission prices remained at €4.45/€3.18 with Family Tickets (2A+3C) €14.
The Seven Dwarfs (all local ’big men’ shrunk to three foot high for a week) were extremely funny in this blaze of colour, music and spectacle.
Dwarfs were Denis Quilty (Doc), Seán Egan (Happy), Padraig McCormack (Sneezy), Brendan Hutchinson (Bashful),John Gannon (Sleepy), Eamonn Carr (Grumpy) and Tom Duggan (Dopey).So popular was the walking on knees routine that the Dwarfs had even 4 subs -Bob Burke, Gerry Dwyer, Eric Divillyand Adrian Glynn.
Gerry Ferguson was a hilarious Dame Dora Dumpling.Dermot Arrigan playedPrince Launcelot and Paul Curleywasthe audience friendly Muddles.
Paula Fahy gave a stunning performance as the jealous Queen Evilena.John Forde carried out the Queen’s wishes as hatchet man Herman the Huntsman.Paul Muldrew was the distracted Chamberlain.
Druid’s wizardry was dispensed by Niamh McCarthy as Hagworth the Terrible Troll with Róisín Duignan playing the magical face in the mirror.
