Studies in the Book of John: I AM series

I AM the Christ (John 1:15-28)

By Pastor, Pastor Mike Ngui

  • Read the scripture passage.
  • Do a THREE-MINUTE SUMMARY of the sermon highlighting KEY POINTS below. Do not preach the whole sermon again, as majority of your cell members would have heard the sermon already. Allocate more time for sharing in the cell through the application questions below.
  • Sermon Resource at:

Questions for Discovery & Application (Select as appropriate):

  1. How did you come to faith in Jesus Christ? Since then, have you matured from seeing Christ as one who solves your ‘Mess’ (your obvious need) or as the ‘Messiah’ who has come to save you from your sins (your greatest need)?
  1. How does Christ resolve the Real Crisis within us? How can we stand guilt-free before God without condemnation (refer Matthew 9:2, John 1:29)? How are we able to now live righly before God (refer Ezekiel 36:26-27)?
  1. How would the cell group play the role of Herald in your community? How will you play this role as an individual to introduce Christ as the Hero?
