4 Matters Arising:
4.1.Village Field
4.1.1 Grass Cutting 2017/Hedging
Cllr Purllant reported.
  • Grass CuttingIst cut completed
  • Hedging. Mulching almost complete
  • Seat painting –done
  • Possibly one tree to replace.
  • Agreed that a selective removal of nettles and thistles was necessary.
  • Cowslips planted.Discussion on further planting. Agreed no more planting in the field and the village until later in the year.
  • A further seat available from PCC.
4.1.2 Transformer.
  • Western Power agreed to pay legal costs.
  • Complete removal of the posts agreed. One to be earmarked for a beacon
  • Solicitor to vet contract
  • Power point on the School Lane entrance to be discussed with Wester Power

4.1.3 Notice Boards. The general approval in the village was noted.
4.1.4 Dog Bins. It was agreed that MPC will install two further dog bins subject to an agreement from PCC that they will be emptied. LY dealing with Cllr Hiller. Dog fouling remains a serious problem despite the posting of notices.
4.2 Website
Cllr Brown reported that the link to the Village Hall is now available. He also reported that Google account is available for document viewing. Password given to councillors.
4.3High Street road markings. The Clerk reported that the work is scheduled for 2017/8 – timing not known.
4.4Village Hall.
New racking installed and no requirement for external storage. The council noted the extensive programme.
4.5Children’s Play Area.
  • Planning application for tree work. Work expected to be completed in April.
  • Dog fouling remains a problem in both areas. The signage to be reviewed
4.6 Blind Lane.
  • Written plan received and the wok planned or the 2/3rd May.
  • Cllr Yarham reported that she had been advised that there is no requirement to install a drain to collect water running off block paving. Cllr Hardy to review
4.7 Pumping Station.
  • Cllr Yarham to contact Anglian Water re outstanding painting. The council noted tree work done by the drainage board.
4.8 Litter Pick
  • Cllr Wilkins reported on the litter in Mill Road and Woodgate lane – collected and removed.
4.9 Planning Documents
The Clerk to prepare to produce large documents when required.
4.10 Data Security

5.1 Church Parking area
The Clerk to collect details of numbers and the frequency of parked cars and the spaces available on the Helpston Road. / CLERK
