15TH ANNUAL NEWPORT BEACH FILM FESTIVAL
ANNOUNCES AWARD WINNERS
Newport Beach, CA – May 2, 2014 – The Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) announced today the winners of the 2014 Festival. On May 1, 2014, the Festival wrapped up its eight day run with the West Coast Premiere of CHEF starring Jon Favreau,Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johanssonat the Regency Lido Theatre (3459 Via Lido, Newport Beach) with the post party in the Via Lido Plaza.
The Festival’s selection committee reviewed more than 2,000 films. The Festival screened over 400 films, representing 50 countries. The films competed for Jury, Festival Honors and Audience Awards.
The 2014 Newport Beach Film Festival jury featured an impressive roster of film industry professionals, including award-winning cinematographer Bill Dill, Tom Davia, Director of Festivals and Alternative TheatricalDistribution for Shoreline Entertainment, Jennie Morris, Senior Vice President of Pivot, Allyson Nadia Field, Assistant Professor of Cinema & Media Studies at UCLA, Dan Mirvish, director, screenwriter, producer and author, Marjoe Aguiling, an Emmy award winning producer and David Rodriquez, a writer, director and producer.
