62ND INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2008 SUKRUPA’S 7TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION
15th August 2008 7.40 a.m the program started with a prayer by Ms.Krupa followed by a processional March.
After the processional March, Chief Guest Mr.Tobby Simon honoured the occasion by hoisting the National Flag, followed by National Anthem, Anna Marie and Sunitha invited the Chief Guest on the stage with a garland made at SUKRUPA to deliver a speech for all the children and the guests.
Children entertained the guests and parents with dance Vandematharam, Saluting the Mother Land, and Des Mera Rangila, My Colourful Country. Kannada Song Haruthide, Haruthide Namma Bhavuta, about the Virtue and splendour of the Flying Indian Flag, and SUKRUPA primary school children portrayed as freedom fighters. All the costumes are designed and made by SUKRUPA Creative Unit Team.
Independence Day Speech by Rajkumar, Class VI Student. Shalom and George differently able couple teaching Classical Carnatic Music at SUKRUPA, sang in Classical note, Sare Jahan Se Achcha Hindustan Hamara. India is the beautiful country.
SUKRUPA Youth Program students were appreciated for their initiative in organising the Independence Day. The moment of pride was to announce the successful completion of 10th grade, by all the 11 students who appeared for the 10th Standard Board Examination. All the guests, parents and the students enjoyed the programs.
Tri colour candles made at SUKRUPA was given as gifts to the guests. Sweets and Kara boondi was distributed to the parents and children.
