CONDITIONS
1 No Copies or digitally enhanced paintings. All works must be the original unaided work of the artist and completed within the past 12 months and must be for sale. The artist is deemed to have accepted sole responsibility for ensuring that works submitted by the artist do not infringe any relevant copyright laws.
2 Every care taken of paintings but no responsibility accepted for any damage, theft or loss.
Freighted works transport costs to and from exhibition must be pre-paid by the artist and accompany the art work. It must be clearly marked for return freight with details of the courier. Include address labels for return.
3 Advertising Committee reserves the right to reproduce any entry for the purpose of publicity.
4 Commission HVFAA shall retain 25% commission on the sale of paintings & 10% on gift cards. The artist is responsible for GST compliance if applicable.
5 Entry fees & number of entries
Section A – Mid North Coast Open Art Prize $15 per painting, ($12 for HVFAA members) a limit of three (3) paintings per exhibitor for this section.
Sections B, C, D, E, F, & G, for members only.
· $8 per Painting a limit of four (4) paintings ( not including Open Section)
· $1.50 per unframed painting (Max 28 x 36 mm image size) for display on table, not for Judging, must be cello wrapped. Must be original paintings, no prints. Please supply own display stand marked with your name. Stretched canvases are not classified as unframed.
· $1.00 per 5 gift cards (must supply own display stand for cards) Cards can be hand painted or a printed image of an original painting.
6 Paintings must be ready to hang with your name, section, medium, title & price written on the back. Eye bolts & wire are not permitted, please use cord. Paintings must not exceed 120cm x 90cm including frame for all sections. Please supply an easel marked with your name for large paintings (if you can) in case it is needed due to lack of hanging space on panels.
7 Late delivery of paintings will not be accepted.
8 HVFAA Members are asked to roster for half day (or full day) if possible.
We will need 4 members per day for 12 days. Please mark your preference on back of entry form and confirm your rostered day on delivery of your paintings.
9 The committee reserves the right to reject any unsuitable work & to exercise flexibility for the benefit of the Exhibition. The decision of the judge shall be final & no correspondence will be entered into.
