- Introduction
In accordance with the schedule of ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector meetings for 2016(see and confirmed by the management of the concerned study groups, the24th ITU-T IPTV-GSI eventtookplace in Geneva, Switzerland,Geneva, 12-16September 2016.
- Objective
The objective of the TSR process is to ensure technical coherence within the ongoing studies of ITU-T to provide strategic and technical co-ordination of the IPTV work across the Questions, Working Parties and Study Groups of the ITU-T that form the IPTV-Global Standardization Initiative (GSI). The TSR is expected to reinforce the role of the IPTV-Joint Coordination Activity (JCA) by ensuring the visibility and technical coherence of the studies, during IPTV-GSI events. As IPTV-GSI has been very actively and the scope of its work has been expanded, the work of IPTV-GSI is expected to be continued not only in each of the Questions involved but also in the form of the newly established JCA-(multimedia)-eservices, which will encompass more groups in future.
IPTV-GSI TSR Coordinator would like to express his sincere appreciation to all the participants to IPTV-GSI over the years. IPTV-GSI owes its success to these active participants.

- Joint Coordination Activity
JCA-AHF took place during this IPTV-GSI event. Q26/16 joined the first part of this meeting.

7.1Accessibility Event
-Demo on Remote sign language interpretation at Q26/16 joint session with JCA-AHF
Mr Hideki Yamamoto (OKI, Japan) reported on TTC is initiating its process to make H.702 a national standard. It is believed that this will become the first accessibility standard in telecommunication. JCA-AHF chair requested that this information be shared at JCA-AHF meeting.
7.2Interop and Conformance Events
Ms. Kaoru Mizuno of TSB reported that the following events are planned during this week.
–A conformance testing event on H.721was held on 15 September 2016. The event identified some potential errors in the current HSTP.CONF-H721. This will be reported to Q13/16 and H.721 will potentially be updated.
–I3GT experiment
–Showcasing event on IPTV and Accessibility issues, including the participants to the 3rd Application Challenge on IPTV, was held on 16 September 2017 in Montbrillant 1st floor.
