Dear Parents,

We have continued to work very hard in math and our next major test will be coming upnext TUESDAY, OCTOBER 18th. This test (the2nd partof Ch 1) will cover one estimating strategy from lesson 4, lessons 7-10, and several review concepts from the first part of the unit. Since tests account for60% of math grades this year, I want to share some tips on how your child can prepare for thisexam.

1.)Save the math homework papers and review errors and comments.

2.)Periodically check your child’s math homework with them after it is completed.

3.)Review Math Journal notes from class.

4.)On-line reviews are helpful if you have access to the internet.

Go to to use the following codes. Click on Prentice Hall Bridge page. Then go to the course content box and enter the desired code. The individual lessons have quizzes that are 5 problems long and are good for review. When you finish a quiz, you get immediate feedback on the score, and it will give you five more problems whether you miss too many or get them all correct.
