Climate Change

The Issue

Climate change is considered by many scientists to be the most serious threat facingthe world today. TheKyoto Protocolis an international agreement to cut greenhouse gas emissions that cause climate change. Solutions include phasing out coal plants, expanding renewable energy sources and public transit, and creating new efficiency standards for vehicles and buildings. Find out what you can do to help make a difference!

The Project

In groups of two you will choose one of the following topics and then complete the following tasks:

1)Research your topic using the website provided as a start. (Reference the information.)

2)Find two other websites that also provide you with information regarding your topic. (Reference the information.)

3)Choose one magazine or newspaper article which also provides you with information regarding your topic.(Reference the information.)

4)Create a poster that contains the most interesting and relevant information. It will be hung outside the classroom as our way to educate others.

5)Create a fact sheet which will be given to each of your classmates. Make it something that is interesting to look at and read. Photos, catchy phrases and diagrams which draw our attention the information is the way to go. Think: A page from a magazine.
