Called to Order

Meeting held in the Library Room.

  • Approval of the meeting minutes Rachael Dallas proposed, Tammy Lockwood seconded, all approved

Treasury Report:

  • $13,683.34 Balance of Account s of October 31, 2015
  • Paid for Agenda books approximately $2,700
  • Andrew provided a draft of the budget/expense sheet for PTO events
  • $250 in receipts for the teacher appreciation luncheon expense need to reimburse Michelle Joshua

Old Business

5k:

  • 110 runners attended, 90 were pre-registered ($600)
  • Check in went smoothly for 1K and 5K, needed more volunteers at the finish line and to help with wrap up. Different pace setter than before, some people were lost, couldn’t follow path, and were “off-course”.
  • Missed a few winners at the end, but got certificates ad medal t those individuals.
  • Water bottles were a big hit, will sell left over ones at upcoming events for $5/ea.
  • too late in the year, try for the first week of October
  • Maybe 5K with an ice cream social?

Dance:

  • 110-120 attendees, better parent attendance this year-well behaved crowd
  • Pizza sliced in half too much left over. Ordered $225 for 45 pies (@$5.00 per pie), paid $290 should be 58 pies or maybe it included delivery fee, need to find out.
  • Script card and ice cream gift certificate (from Terry for costumes prizes
  • New DJ didn’t talk much, music okay using Dana McDonald for dances.
  • Crafts were big hit, no decorations were used, don’t spend money on them next year
  • No negative feedback, 50% overlap, younger group than normal at the dance
  • If combine again, would wrap up earlier from awards to get inside for dance, but recommend to not combine again
  • Friday night is better is for the dance

Chick-Fila Night -November 14

  • Student ambassadors di a great job
  • Raised $543 for adopt-a-family, Nurse to pick family

NEW Business

Breakfast with Santa-Tabitha Scarpinato-Chair

  • 1s time Chairperson Michelle Feeney to co-chair
  • Craft again with movie, long wait to see Santa was feedback last year, thinking about 2-seatings or sign uptimes to visit with Santa during your time at the breakfast. Time gets called and it’s your time to see Santa.
  • Tickets are $5.00 per person, Sm Sullivan has suit but is not available this year, need Santa
  • Student ambassadors are elves, wear white beards
  • Budget for event is $336from last year’s numbers.

Out and About

  • January 21 Paint Night-ADULTS
  • January 22 Movie Night at Westown
  • Friendly’s Night in March

Monetary Requests

  • Bike Rack- for neighborhood kids who ride to school- have to discuss with Linda-maybe an Eagle Scout project

Miscellaneous

  • Box Top Coordinator- Chanel Duphily
  • Buy a Bench for the sports fields, looking at sprig time March or April fundraiser or ear marking out and about event for this effort. Looking for $250/$300 per bench maybe a family to sponsor each bench.
  • Thank you note needs to go to Pretzel Boys and any other vendor that donated for 5K/Dance
  • PTO Website-Rachael Dallas proposed vote for Delnet to host in combination with the school website and dropping the separate site as previously used. Seconded by Stacey Chakwin, all in favor, passed. Tracey Flowers is setting up the site.
  • HVAC fundraiser gearing up again soon, look or letter to come home.
  • Next teacher appreciation luncheon, possibly schedule during April’s Volunteer Week to celebrate and thank volunteers also.
