1. Determine how entrants will be rescued:

2. Select the appropriate Emergency information sheet from this section.
3.Complete each section indicated.
4.Verify responsibilities with all designated responders. If outside responders are used, verify they have equipment and training to respond to emergencies at your facility.
5.Attach a copy of the Emergency Information to all confined space entry permits issued.

Non-Entry Rescue
Procedure:
- Never enter a confined space to perform a rescue unless trained to do so. The attendant will prevent untrained and unauthorized personnel from entering the space.
- Sound local alarm to alert employees of emergency.
- Assess the emergency. Determine the type of injury to the entrant.
- Verify that retrieving the employee will not result in inflicting additional injuries by using the equipment listed below.
- Retrieve injured employee using rescue equipment listed below.
- Administer First Aid/CPR as necessary. Contact outside emergency responders (BWI Airport: 410-859-7222; MTN Airport: 911 & MD ANG FD 410-918-6911).
- Terminate the confined space entry until cleared to continue by the Airport Safety Office.
- Complete First Report of Injury Packet reports for injured employees.
