3.1  Agenda

·  The plans for the meeting were presented in document 11-07-2094

3.2  Patent Policy

Noone was unfamiliar with the IEEE patent policy.

There were two comments recorded regarding relevant IP.

The first was from Jim Petranovich (affiliation Conexant Systems) who stated:

“Conexant Systems, Inc. believes that it may hold patent claims and/or patent application claims that may be essential to implementation of the IEEE 802.11 standard. If it does hold such patent claims and/or patent application claims, Conexant Systems, Inc. is willing to license these claims under reasonable and nondiscriminatory (RAND) terms.”

The second comment was from David Bagby (affiliation Calypso Ventures) who stated that he believes CSIRO may hold patenets that are essential to TGn.

3.3  Comment Discussions

The chair reported that there are 1263 technical comments yet to be resolved and are allocated as shown below..

The remainder of the three days was used to conduct numerous regarding the best way to resolve these comments. At the opening of the sessions. allocated to each of the following ad hoc groups.

Status of comment resolutions is captured in spreadsheets with file numbers and revisions as shown below:

3.4  Closing comments

·  Plans for the coming plenary meeting were discussed.

·  Plans for the next ad hoc meeting in Waikoloa were discussed.

Meeting was adjourned at 6pm Friday July 13.
