“An African Philosophy of Peace” The research is designed to distill from the Yoruba Cultural Milieu,
their traditional conception of peace,position on the fundamental causes of conflict and traditional
approaches to prevent and resolve conflict in the attempt to facilitate enduring peace in society. These
would be compared to what exists in contemporary society and analysed to determine their plausibility in
contemporary society.
“Discontent and the Foundation of Radicalisation” The study seeks to critically examine how
such Islamic terror organisations as ISIS and Al Qaeda have been able to radicalize and enlist
what seems to be a growing number of young people from different parts of the world. Key
questions that the study attempts to answer include: what could possibly be the source of the
discontent of those young people from Europe that predisposes them to Islamic radicalization? Is
the source of discontent economic, psychological, religious or a complex of several factors.
