Zululand Multi Sport Club Rules:
Membership Rules:
The Executive Committee shall determine, and by means of by-laws, prescribe:
Types of membership;
Terms and conditions of membership;
Procedure for application of membership;
Membership fees and ALL other matters necessary or incidental to membership.
Applications for membership must be approved by the Executive Committee if:
The application procedure has not been followed; or IF after a fair hearing, a member is found guilty of improper conduct.
If membership is cancelled by the Executive Committee, the member has the right to appeal in writing and be given a fair hearing.
All members are bound by this Constitution.
A member may resign in writing and request clearance from ZMSC
On termination or suspension of membership for any reason, the member shall:
Remain liable for all sums till due and unpaid by him/her;
Not be entitled to recover any sums of money by reasons of termination or suspension of membership prior to the end of the financial year.
Every member shall notify ZMSC of any change of address.
Athlete’s Membership:
Athletes must be in good standing with ZMSC to qualify for Athletes membership.
Members 18 years and younger must have permission of their parent or legal guardian.
Take out a license for his/her sporting discipline.
Obtain ZMSC kit.
Take part in ZMSC kit at three local races
Must be a paid up member
You WILL NOT have voting rights
Renew his membership on the 31st December each year. A grace period of 30 days after the 31st December will be given to renew membership, where after the membership will expire automatically without any notice to the athlete, the athlete have to re-apply for membership. Gate remotes will also be deleted from the ZMSC system.
After the 30th January of each year the names of the athletes who’s membership expired will be removed from the ZMSC data base and they will receive no more communication from the ZMSC office.
Club Grounds:
As a RUNNING ONLY Member, you won’t have full use of the ZMSC facilities. You will be able to join for Wednesday Time Trials and on a Saturday for long runs. Use of club facilities at members own risk
Speed limit on Club grounds are 10km/h
Club grounds are to be kept clean.
Bad behaviour is not acceptable on club grounds.
Vandalism will not be tolerated.
No club property to be removed from the premises.
No dogs/pets are allowed on club grounds.
No smoking will be tolerated in the clubhouse, toilets and showers.
Bar:
No children under the age of 18 are allowed at the counter.
No children under the age of 18 are allowed in the bar without adult supervision.
Bad behaviour in bar is not acceptable.
No firearms allowed in the bar.
No pets in the bar.
No abusive language in the bar.
Last round will be called at 23h45
No alcohol will be permitted on the premises, unless purchased at the ZMSC bar.
For an Athlete to be considered for membership you must take out one of the above Licences, buy and partake in ZMSC Club Kit and provide us with proof of having taken part in at least 3 races in the present year (not charity or fun events). It is the Athletes responsibility to provide us with race results once having taken part in a race during the present year otherwise your membership will be changed to a Social Membership.
INDEMNITY
I, the undersigned, do hereby indemnify and agree to hold harmless the ZULULAND MULTI SPORT CLUB ("ZMSC") in respect of all claims of whatever nature arising, whether directly or indirectly, from any form of accident, theft, loss or damage to property which may occur whilst I, my family or visitors are on the grounds of the ZMSC, or whilst engaged in any water sport activities from the banks of the premises.
