ABOUT THE WEEKEND
All youth (Grade 7-12) and youth leaders are invited to be part of this year’s Youth Winter Retreat, February 14 – 16, 2015, a joint event of the MNO and Saskatchewan Synods. The wonderful folks at Metochos Camp are excited to be hosting us.
ABOUT THE THEME
Our presenter for the weekend will be seminary student Emmanuel Aristide. He is orginially from Madagascar and has been living in Saskatoon for the past 1.5 years.
Our weekend will include time for worship, prayer, and learning. And of course, lots of time for visiting and playing! We will enjoy the beauty of God’s creation at the camp and get some splashing in at the Aquatic Centre in Estevan.
REGISTRATION: ByJanuary 31, get your registration form and cheque, made payable to “Saskatchewan Synod” to your youth leader($75.00 registration). All registration forms must be signed by youth, parent or guardian, and youth leader. Registration covers the cost of all meals and all activities for the weekend.
TRAVEL: Plan to arrive at the camp by 2 pm on Saturday, February 14. The weekend ends with brunch on Monday. Hopefully, this allows for winter travel in mostly daylight hours. There might be the option for travel to be arranged by the Synod by bus, from Saskatoon, through Regina and to the camp. There would be an extra cost for this. If you are interested in this option, please let Gretchen know.
PACKING LIST
Pillow, sleeping bag and pad/foamie for sleeping at the camp
Towel, soap, tooth brush and tooth paste, and scent-freetoiletries
Snow pants, long johns, toques, mittens, scarves and boots for outdooractivities
Swimming suit
One suitcase with casualclothes, and all the above in it.
Musical instrument (if portable) and talent for talent night
Your Bible, yourself and your leader
