The successful person will be required twice a week 6-8pm between Monday – Thursday and attend matches on Saturdays
Reporting To / U9-U19 Technical Director
Head Physical Performance Coach
Role Summary / Develop and implement a physical performance programme for youth players in U10-U16 age groups. Work alongside the head of physical performance to develop players in line with the club philosophy.
Main Duties and Responsibilities /
  • Lead pitch physical development sessions for all age groups
  • Develop a physical performance programme for players
  • Design and lead pre-match warm ups.
  • Design and Deliver all gym sessions for U14 and U16 age groups
  • Proactively lead on all hydration, nutrition and recovery strategies.
  • Work alongside the Physio/Sports Therapist, to ensure Return to Play (RTP) plans are carried out effectively.
  • Design off-season and winter break physical programming
  • Liaise with National Teams pre and post-camp regards loading & wellbeing
  • To organise fitness testing at appropriate times throughout the season
  • Develop players within the Bristol City WFC Pathway
  • Provide high quality physical performance and support
  • Develop resources to assist with the implementation of a training and games programme in line with Bristol City WFC player development programme

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Experience, Skills & Qualifications /
  • A qualification at degree level (or equivalent) in sports science or a related discipline (or studying towards)
  • An interest in football player development
  • Knowledge and understanding of long term player development
  • Willingness to work weekends and training events when required
  • Knowledge and experience of working with young players
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent academic knowledge of contemporary practice in physical performance development
  • Previous experience of work within football (desirable)
  • Previous experience of working with female athletes (desirable)
  • FA level 1 in coaching (desirable)
  • Understanding of the FA Girls’ England Talent Pathway(desirable)
