Common questions regarding The Great Aussie Crunch

Q. It’s not convenient for our school to ‘crunch’ at 10am on 16 Sept. Can we participate in The Great Aussie Crunch at a different time?

A. Yes! While it would be great if all schools participate at the same time, we realise this is not always practical. If necessary, schools can reschedule the time and/or date.

Q. Who supplies the apples and carrots?

A.In most schools, the apples and carrots can be supplied by parents. Resources such as newsletter inserts are available here

If your school is having difficulty providing apples and carrots, please contact us.

Q.Some of my students can’t crunch on an apple or carrot because of medical or dental reasons (like missing teeth). What do I do?

A. These students can still be encouraged to bite into softer fruit or veg during The Great Aussie Crunch, such as a banana.
