· They introduced themselves
· We got a nice greeting
· They gave us a tour around the inside and outside of the building
· They were really nice
· They had ID badges
· They were nice
· Some of them joined in with playing footy
· They encouraged us to go in the dance studio and do some dancing
· They were all friendly
· The dance teacher was amazing; she wasn’t too pushy, it was fun, like it’s supposed to be
· They were looking after us; they went and spoke to a strange man in the park that kept watching us
· It was good being all girls, boys would have ruined it by messing about
· We chilled-out outside
· We did street dance; she had already made up a routine for us to learn
· We couldn’t go into the recording studio
· They were planning future activities like cooking
· We played ping pong
· You could make new friends; we played games with the other girls that were there
· All the girls were 11+
· We played table football
· It is a great place for people in the local area to come!
· We played football on astroturf with proper nets; it didn’t say we could play football on the flyer, if it did I would have come dressed differently
· Everyone was welcome
· They had an XBox and PS3
· They had new computers which I think was the media centre
· It was free
· The vending machines were cheap
· They gave us jugs of water
· It was great being only girls inside but the boys were allowed to join in outside
· They had space inside for praying and different religions
· Everyone could go
· There were long corridors inside so it would be easy for a wheelchair user to get around
· There were no stairs in the building
· It’s on at a good time; during term time it’d be good to go home, have tea and then come down
· There was something for everyone to do
· They weren’t strict about ending the session, they didn’t kick us out
· Each room had a sign- the toilets had a sign
· The shutters were down in the dance studio for privacy which was good
· We got shown around so we knew where everything was
· They have a car park
· It’s good that there was someone watching over you
· There were benches outside
· We were allowed to use the outdoor space
· We had football bibs which were clean
· There were loads of space for the activities
· There were loads of staff there so we felt comfortable and safe
· They had good astroturf for footy
· We couldn’t get into the recording studio
· Everything worked
· They had lockers if you brought a bag
· They had a proper dance studio with mirrors
· Pretty big space
· We wrote our names and numbers down when we signed in
· Everything worked
· A few of the rooms were still waiting for permission to use (gym and recording studio)
· They had music on inside, we could attach an iphone to play suitable music without swearing.
General Comments:
· The time on the advertising was wrong - it said 5.30pm start when it was a 5.00pm start
· It was fantastic!
· There could be more stuff outside like basketball nets
· They could have an arts zone for crafts and pictures, but I think if we had have asked they would have got some out for us
