TV&GWOT’s 152 Appeal: Please help make the oldest Thames Valley survivor fit for an active future

TV&GWOT is honoured to have been entrusted with the ownership of 152. However, there are two major mechanical and electrical projects that need to be undertaken if 152 is to be used as regularly and extensively as it deserves to promote the Thames Valley Traction heritage. To install a dynamo and voltage regulation system and to repair the badly worn gearbox and lay shaft bearings will cost some £20,000. This 152 Appeal is set to raise those funds.

You can support this Appeal and helpreturn 152 to regular operation at heritage events by:

  • Making a one-off donation, or
  • Making regular monthly donations, via standing order.

If you pay UK Income or Capital Gains Tax, you can also boost your donation by 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 you donate – Gift Aid is reclaimed by TV&GWOT from the tax you pay for the corresponding tax year.

Those making single donations of £1,000 or more, or a monthly standing order of over £40 for 25 months, will be enrolled as a Supporter of 152, and:

  • Subject to qualifications, assessment and insurance they will be given the opportunity to drive and/or conduct the vehicle
  • Their name will be recorded on a plaque to be displayed in TV&GWOT’s original Thames Valley Traction Company building, near Maidenhead
  • They will be invited to ride on the celebratory run of 152 following the work proposed.

Please give generously to help keep Thames Valley Traction alive in the Thames Valley. Thank you!

I would like to help TV&GWOT ensure 152 is made reliable for long-term use by:

Making a monthly payment of £…………:….. by Standing Order(complete & return the Banker’s Order below)
