You are receiving this letter because you have some connection to a (insert the name of your school) athlete. This athlete has been involved with Athletes in Action (AIA) during this school year. AIA is the athletic ministry of Cru, and has the vision of developing Christ-followers on every team, in every sport, in every nation.

As a full-time campus minister, my main objective is to assess where students are spiritually and help them move forward. I’m constantly trying to provide opportunities for spiritual growth throughout their college experience.

As summer approaches, one such opportunity is the AIA Ultimate Training Camp. The Ultimate Training Camp is a high intensity six-day sports camp for competitive athletes. We tackle the issues of how to integrate faith and sport together on the field of competition and beyond. We teach five Biblical principles throughout the week and then allow the athletes to test those truths in a 20-hour team competition that will challenge them mentally, physically, and spiritually, as well as, equip them to mature as a leader. One large obstacle in getting students to the Ultimate Training Camp is the financial expense. Most collegiate athletes are not able to have a job during the school year making it very difficult to afford such an opportunity. I am asking you to prayerfully consider giving $50, $75, $100 or some other amount, towards the Athletes in Action Ultimate Training Camp to specifically invest in these students’ lives. Every gift that is received will be used to cover camper registration costs. The total cost for each camper is approximately $755 per athlete (not including their travel).
