Historical Knowledge / I can:
  • Give an overview of the causes and course of WWII
  • Examine the significant events of WWII including the Holocaust and the atomic bomb.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Australians during WWII
  • Describe and explain the impact of WWII, showing particular attention the Australian home front (including the changing roles of women and use of wartime government controls).
  • Understand and describe the significance of WWII to Australia’s international relationships in the twentieth century, including the United Nations, Britain, the USA and Asia.

  • I can find and analyse the perspectives of people from the past, as well as different historical interpretations.
  • I can develop texts that explain and discuss historical material by using referenced sources from a range of areas. I can use a range of communication forms to do this.
