- Give an overview of the causes and course of WWII
- Examine the significant events of WWII including the Holocaust and the atomic bomb.
- Demonstrate an understanding of Australians during WWII
- Describe and explain the impact of WWII, showing particular attention the Australian home front (including the changing roles of women and use of wartime government controls).
- Understand and describe the significance of WWII to Australia’s international relationships in the twentieth century, including the United Nations, Britain, the USA and Asia.
