WWII Battlefield Database
Goal:
In a team of three, create a reference document on a WWII battle. This document will show what happened, describe someone who fought was a part of the battle, and display piece of technology that had a role in the battle.
Grading mentality:
Grades are mostly for individual student effort in doing their job. You are a team coming together to make a finished product. Grades will be determined by one's ability to fill out the checklist in the "Descriptions and Tasks" section below. /Also:
Be sure to cite your sources. This can be done by putting the link of the page at the end of your section.For books, give the title and author.Team Roles

On working with teammates:
Recall you have technology, can exchange ideas, share findings within your team, and help one another. Be courteous and kind. Individually and collectively do great things.When naming the file your team is making, rename the template after the name of your group’s battle.

Individual points
Completion of all listed information to find: 15 pointsFormatting of research into the document: 5 points

Descriptions and Tasks
Common Tasks
While each member will have their own tasks to carry, the research as a whole should address the following:
- How does this battle impact the War as a whole?
- Cite all sources used (DO NOT USE Wikipedia!)
- What Theater did this battle take place in?
- All writing—descriptions of battle, person’s life, and technology’s role in battle—must be in your own words. Do not copy and paste.
- All entries match the standard format.
Battle Logistician
Researches on the battle itself. Gives us an idea of what happened.
- Casualty report (how many died or were injured)
- Date(s) of battle
- Who fought who (countries and some of the military units)
- Map of Battle
- Brief Description of what happened in your own words (1 paragraph minimum)
- 3 pictures from the battle (place 1 on the first page of the document)
Technocrat
Researcher presents one piece of technology present on the battlefield
- What is it? (name + brief description)
- What role did it play in the battle (1 paragraph minimum)
- When was it invented
- 1 picture of the technology (minimum)
Human Narrative Researcher
Researches on one of the people who was in the battle. This could be an officer, a soldier, a nurse, a civilian, etc. Will report on the following:
- Name of Person
- Branch of Military (or job)
- Rank (if in Military)
- Where they are from
- Date of birth
- Date of death
- Picture of person.
- Role during the battle
- What they did after the war (if they died in battle, mention that instead)
