All 25m times have been taken as a percentage of the 50m times given by British Swimming.
Wrexham SC have had to alter the format of this gala in line with British Swimming Guidelines. As a result we will still hold the competition exactly the same as over the last 12 yrs were all swimmers can enter the event even if they have no time to register up to swimmers with very fast times who will hopefully set new event records.
The only change to the meet is it is a combined Level A and Level B Meet.
This will mean the following:-
The event will be run with all the swimmers in the heats. Once the heats are completed the times above will come into play. For example if we take the boys 25m Freestyle event, once all the heats are completed the swimmers results will appear as follows.
Swimmers equal to or faster than the qualifying times above will be ranked in the Level A part of the event and awards will be given to the first three places. (Gold, silver, and bronze)
Swimmers slower than the times above will be ranked in the Level B part of the event and awards will be given to the top six places. (Gold, silver, bronze, 4th, 5th, and 6th.)
This will allow us to run the meet as we have always done and keep the meet records which have been set over the years and hopefully will encourage a greater diversity of swimming groups.
