THE OBJECTS OF THE ASSOCIATION
(1)To foster and deliver Cricket in Wolston Park Suburb and the Centenary suburbs and surrounding areas.
(2)To promote and encourage the playing of Cricket and to promote and develop the necessary skills of the game and a sense of sportsmanship and fair play
(3)To provide a supportive, enjoyable and safe environment for our members.
(4)To foster players and technical members’ pathways and development
(5)To be an affiliated member of the sport’s recognised governing bodies for the Sport within the state of Queensland.

TIMEFRAME FOR POSITION

All Committee positions are for a Two (2) year term: Individuals cannot hold office for more than 4 years and must retire from the committee for a mandatory period of one (1)year

Special Notes: during the first 4 years cycle of a new rolling governance system some positions maximum years service will be three (3) years ONLY as their 1st term will be 1 year not 2 years.

After mandatory committee retirement Committee personnel are entitled to apply fora seasonal operation and service delivery volunteer position.

Rolling Governance System is applied as follows:Odd Numbered positions are up for re-election in odd years and even numbered positions are up for re-election in even years both years will also include any current vacancies on committee see the below table for what is available at the upcoming AGM.

PRESIDENT
KEY OBJECTIVE / To support the Committee and ourVolunteers/Staff through good leadership and most importantly provide a positive environment for our club to grow, develop and secure our future and engage business and local council’sparticipation in and our Club
SKILLS REQUIRED / Experience and/or proven ability to fill a leadership role; have a good understanding of budget oversight,people management and or experience and modernmanagement practises.
The ability to engage with peopleandspeak in public.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITY /
  • Leadership, Management of the Committee.

SECRETARY
KEY OBJECTIVE / To maintain high standards of administration and communication within the Cluband ensure the organisation’s meetings are organised, conducted and recorded according to legal requirements
SKILLS REQUIRED / High standard of competency on Microsoft Word, email, including experience and/or ability to manage and deliver general administration and communication requirements. High level of understanding of modern modes of communication
POSITION RESPONSIBILITY / •Manage the communication system and standards (internal /external).
•Maintain all records efficiently and effectively.

TREASURER
KEY OBJECTIVE / To assist the Committee to maintain the systems and standards of financial record keeping and accountability, monitor income and expenditure, operate club budget/s and ensure the Club meets its legal obligations under the act.
SKILLS REQUIRED / Standard of competency or ability to use financial packages such as Myob, or programs of a similar type, and knowledge and/or experience in or demonstrated ability to learnfinancial management for a club of our size and the ability to provide and present regular financial statements /reports
POSITION RESPONSIBILITY /
  • Maintain financial records regularly and keep good transparentand accountable records.
  • Report on the financial status of the club in writing at every official meeting of the committee.
  • Ensure that the budgeting is carried out.
  • Establish and maintain Cash Management system.
  • Canteen/merchandise accountability.
  • Asset Management.
  • Be aware of information required for the annual audit.
  • Portfolio Volunteer Management andsupport.
  • Grant acquittals.

CRICKET OPERATIONS
KEY OBJECTIVE / Oversee Player, Coaching,Umpiring, development and service systems, delivery standards
SKILLS REQUIRED / Experience and/or proven ability to project manage people and proven high level understanding of Cricket and our players and technical personnel’s development pathways and service delivery needs
POSITION RESPONSIBILITY /
  • Cricket operations management and oversight.
  • Coach, Umpire management standards oversight.
  • Team Management, standards oversight.
  • Competition, events systems and delivery standards and oversight.
  • Program/pathways oversight.
  • Player standards, development and delivery requirements.
  • Standard of service to players and parents.

FACILITY OPERATIONS
KEY OBJECTIVE / Facility,Fields and Equipment: management, maintenance and repair including facility development and equipment replacement oversight
SKILLS REQUIRED / Experience and/or proven ability of the requirements for, or demonstrated ability to learn asset and facility managementand the ability to project manage people
POSITION RESPONSIBILITY /
  • Grounds and buildings oversight - Facility, Grounds Management standards and systems, schedules, need.
  • Facility liaison/agreements.
  • Grounds, turf and wickets maintenance oversight.
  • Schools liaison.
  • Asset repair, replacement and development oversight.
  • Facility operator oversight (staff/volunteers).
  • Facility standards (fire, health/hygiene, risk mitigation).
  • Facility audits.
