A web-based programme Universal Doctor Speakerdeveloped in a Spanish-lead project to facilitate bilingual communication at doctor’s appointment. 1,500 sentences.
Different language combinations; the project is generally interested in localising the tool for other languages. Follows the course of a doctor’s appointment as interactive flow charts, in both written and spoken form. Open questions for those who are literate, language-pair-specific warnings on culture taboos.
The programm is liable to charge but the project may be interested in non-profit cooperation and possibilities to add languages. / Doctors who encounter foreign patients.
