Activity:Transportation services/ rent a car with driver

Period:02.04.2018-02.04.2019 with possibility of extension

Service Objective

A professional driver with a passenger vehicle to provide transportation services to the project for 12 month in Gabala and in rural districts of central-Western Azerbaijan upon ad-hoc and prior request.

Scope of Work:

Contractor should conduct the below transportation services to the implementation of the project activities

- Provide secure and timely driving services for the project staff and partners in Gabala and other Districts (Ismayilli and Gakh) and to Baku

- Assist in delivery of project related documents and materials (i.e. for trainings, workshops, etc.) to GIZ office in Baku

This is an ad-hoc service. Plans on the travels outside of Gabala and Ismayilli district will be provided for at least 5 days prior to the travel days. Plans on the travels within Gabala & Ismayilli district will be provided at least one day prior. Immediate requests may be made in urgent cases. The driver must be always available to fulfill the service requests.

Job responsibilities

- Compliance with laws and regulation on driving and transportation;

- Regular, timely and high-quality maintenance of the vehicle for safety and comfort;

- Ensuring vehicle is clean and ready for service all the time upon immediate request;

- Ensure compliance with labor regulations, use of safety and fire security equipment;

- Update daily mileage records (log book, timesheet) as per templates to be provided by GIZ;

- Ad hoc availability to provide driving services within Gabala and the districts.

*All maintenance and running costs, insurance for the car and an insurance for the passengers including the penalties will be covered by the contractor as per contract. Costs for accommodation and per diems will be covered by GIZ during the travels outside of Gabala district.

Requirements:

- Possession of a personal vehicle (compact off road car, sedan, compact SUV or SUV) with at least four passenger seats;

- Possession of tax registration number as either company or individual entrepreneur;

- Minimum of five years (or, 100,000 km of driving) experience;

- Good knowledge of the service area and the ability to use navigation applications;

- Basic knowledge of English for communication with international experts;

- Experience with companies and international organizations is preferred;

- Safety, Reliability, Comfort

• Safety measures including functional seatbelts, active safety (Vehicle Stability Control) and airbags;
• Production year: 2012+ with 100,000 of max. kilometer.

Application documents

Applicant should submit a technical and financial offer containing the below-mentioned documents and information:

Technical offer, containing:

- Valid Driver’s license;

- Technical vehicle passport;

- Copy of National ID;

- Copy of Tax Registration Card;

- Resume (CV);

- Information about the condition of the vehicle;

- Proof of clean driving record.

Financial offer

- Remuneration will be based on payments per km (car logbook). The fee will cover all costs for the service, including service fee, the vehicle maintenance costs, fuel, insurance for the car and an insurance for the passengers. The contractor has to proof that insurance has been paid and that vehicle maintenance has been carried out regularly. All costs related to the violation of the traffic laws would be covered by the service provider.
