Assignment
Using primary sources of written and visual documents, create a document gallery that represents Canada’s experience during World War I.
Topics – Home Front, Battles, Conscription, End of War
The document gallery must includewritten andvisual documents that effectively represent the components identified in each section. Do not use the same document to represent another component.Use documents that represent Canadians not British, French, Germans, etc.; some exceptions apply.

Primary Sources: Written and Visual Documents
- Documents
Using primary sources, provide written and visual documents that effectively represent the components listed in each section. Written documents include letters, posters, newspaper articles, diary, journal, memo, telegram, government report, advertisement, etc. Visual documents include photographs, poster, political cartoons, etc. Use the type of document- written or visual - that best suits the component.
- Captions
Each document must include a captionthat identifies and describes the document.
- Source/URL
Identify the source of the documents by providing the URL of the web site (not jpeg) for each document and indicate it below the caption of each document.
