World Grand Champion Fainting Goat Show Rules

1. The World Champion Fainting Goat Show will start at 9am on Saturday, October, 8, 2011.

2. Goats will be released immediately after the show.

3. Entries may be checked in on Thursday from 4pm until 7pm and Friday from 5pm to 6pm.

4. Entry fees will be $8.oo per goat and must be received by October 1, 2011. There will no refunds.

5. Substitutions will be allowed until 6pm on Friday, October, 7, 2011 at no additional

charge within the same class only.

6. Pen fees are $10.oo each for the duration of the show. Pens are 6 foot x 6 foot ( 1 to 4 goats ).

7. All goats must be registered with the Myotonic Goat Registry and there is no limit to the number of . goats that can be entered in a class by an exhibitor.

8. If you choose to exhibit many goats in a class, it is your responsibility to have

adequate handlers to have goats ready to enter the class when called.

9. The goats age will be determined by its Registration certificate. The Show Judge will verify winners.

10. All Goats entering into Rock Creek Park must have a health certificate dated

September 23, 2011 or later, with a destination of Rock Creek Park, Lewisburg, TN.

11. All goat entering into the state must meet all USDA requirements for entry into Tennessee.

Check with your Veterinarian for details.

12. All USDA Scrapie Rules and Regulations apply to this event. Consult your Veterinarian.

13. Any animal showing symptoms of illness, such as open sores, abscesses, runny or cloudy eyes,

watery diarrhea, or any other signs of sickness will be asked to remove that animal from Rock Creek

Park immediately. It is our goal to make this a happy and healthy experience for all.

14. All animal tattoos must be easy to read.

15. If animals are identified by microchips, owners must furnish a microchip reader.

16. Goats must wear a collar at all times.

17. Mature bucks must be handled by a person strong enough to control them.

18. Due to the nature of mature bucks, we ask that you pen them separately for everyone’s safety.

19. All goats entering Rock Creek Park shall be entered in at least one goat show or goat event.

20. Private treaty sales will be allowed as long as all goats are entered in at least one show, have

a health certificate, and follow all Rules.

21. No Alcoholic Beverages Or Smoking Will Be Allowed In The Goat Tents.

22. No Dogs Will Be Allowed In The Exhibition Area.

23. The Show Chairperson reserves the right to split or combine classes on the day of

the show as needed.

24. Any subject brought forward that is not specifically covered by these rules will be

decided by at least two members of the show committee and their decision will be final.

25. Myotonic Goat Registry Rules Shall Govern This Show.

I agree to and understand all of the above mentioned rules. I also agree that the organizers of this show, property owners, city officials, and volunteers will not be liable for any loss, damages, or accidents to persons, animals, or property while taking part in this event. All Juveniles are to be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Class 1. Goat Calling Contest: (Non-Sanctioned Class) Team up with a partner & your Favorite

goat & see whose goat will come to them first. Goats may not be carried. Does,

wethers, or bucks (bucks must be under 3 months) may be used. This class is free &

the winning pair will receive a prize.

Class 2. Doe & kid(s): (Non-Sanctioned Class) Mama goat with her 0 to 3 month old youngsters.

Junior Doe Show ( Junior Does have never kidded).

Class 3. Junior Does Kids : 0 to 3 months of age

Class 4. Intermediate Doe Kids : 3 to 6 months of age

Class 5. Senior Doe Kids : 6 to 9 months of age

Class 6. Advanced Senior Doe Kids: 9 to 12 months of age

Class 7. Yearling Doe: Unfreshened, 12 to 18 months of age

Class 8. Yearling Doe: Unfreshened, 18 to 24 months of age

Class 9. Yearling Doe: Senior Freshened, 12 to 18 months of age

Class 10. Yearling Doe: Senior Freshened, 18 to 24 months of age

Class 11. Two year old Doe: 24 to 36 months of age

Class 12. Three year old Doe: 36 to 48 months of age

Class 13. Four year old & Over Doe: 48 months of age or older.

Class 14. Mini Does: Does that are MGR certified as minis and status noted on registration

certificate. Height is 21” or less at withers at 3 years of age.

Class 15. Pee Wee Showmanship : Free & open to all children less than 6 yrs of age.

Class 16. Junior Showmanship : Free for breeders 6 to 9 years of age.

Class 18. Senior Showmanship: Free for breeders 15 to 18 years of age.

Class 19. Adult Showmanship: Free for breeders over 18 years of age.

Class 20. Flashiest Goat Contest: (Non-Sanctioned Class), Free for any MGR registered

goat, Pick the most eye-catching & colorful goat that you can find & let the

audience choose which one they like the best. *Great Fun* Ribbon & prize for

winner.

Class 21. Wether Kid: 0 to 4 months of age

Class 22. Junior Wether: 4 to 8 months of age

Class 23. Advanced Junior Wether: 8 to 12 months of age

Champion of the 2011 World Champion Fainting Goat Show.
