Reading Week: 4th - 8th March

We would like to thank the parents who helped make the Story Sacks on Monday. Our thanks also go to the parents who donated material for the actual sacks. Many thanks also to Kate Tym, Maia and Tallulah’s Mum, who came to school on Tuesday and did some excellent work with the children. Kate is a published author and she inspired the children with her ideas and enthusiasm.

There were some wonderful costumes on Wednesday! Thank you for helping your children dress up as their favourite book characters. The teachers also dressed for the occasion, as did Father Michael when he came for assembly in the afternoon. He shared his love of the book Robin Hood with the children in a most entertaining way.

PTA

Enclosed with this newsletter you will find a Suttons Seeds catalogue and order form. Please have a look to see if there is anything you would like to order. 20% of all orders goes to the PTA so it will benefit your children to buy your seeds and plants this way. Just complete the order form and hand in the office. The goods will be sent to your own address.

The PTA is planning a textile recycling day with Bag2School to raise further funds towards the lighting/microphones. Essentially you bring in any unwanted fabrics such as clothes and Bag2School will collect on the day. We will let you know when this is likely to happen, probably in May.In the meantime you can start saving old clothes! Wider family and friends can also donate.

Easter Service

This will be held at 2pm at St Laurence’s Church on Wednesday 27th March. Please join us afterwards at school for a hot cross bun and blackcurrant juice.

This term seems to be racing past and in no time at all it will be the Easter Holidays. Don’t forget, our newsletters and any other information can be found on our website.

Yours sincerely,

S Clark
