WORKSHOP SERVICES - CERBERUS SPECFIC – MAINTENANCE ROUTINE - TRAILER
Six (6M) Monthly
Reference & Standards - Australian & Department of Defence Standards Compliance Required, including but not limited to: AS4177 Caravan and light towing components AS3100 2002 General Requirements For Electrical Equipment
Reference Documents - Manufacturers Handbook
Undertake a Six Monthly (6M) service including (but not exclusive to) the following items:
· Check general condition of the trailer and make note of any defects.
· Check the trailer lights function correctly (where fitted), if the trailer utilises a light board check for correct operation.
· Check the trailer registration label is affixed (if registered).
· Check the trailer licence plate is affixed correctly (if registered).
· Check the asset number is visible.
· Check the safety chains and shackles are not bent, elongated or distorted. Record any defects.
· Inspect winch wire/strap for defects, ensure spring loaded ratchet directional pins operate correctly.
· Ensure tyres and rims are roadworthy. Record tyre pressures and top up with air as required.
· Inspect couplings for defects.
· Ensure hand operated park brakes work correctly when activated (if fitted).
· Inspect all rollers and slide ways are operating correctly.
· Inspect/Check/Undertake all items per the Manufacturers Handbook
On completion of the scheduled service provide written certification of inspection, maintenance undertaken, condition and that item is fit/unfit for purpose.

Note: To be carried out in conjunction with all other maintenance procedures & inspections that falls due within the same period. Undertake a 12 Monthly (1Y) service including (but not exclusive to) the following items:
· Check general condition of the trailer and make note of any defects.
· Check the trailer lights function correctly (where fitted), if the trailer utilises a light board check for correct operation.
· Check the trailer registration label is affixed (if registered). Check the trailer licence plate is affixed correctly (if registered). Check the asset number is visible.
· Check the safety chains and shackles are not bent, elongated or distorted. Record any defects.
· Inspect winch wire/strap for defects, ensure spring loaded ratchet directional pins operate correctly.

· Inspect couplings for defects.
· Ensure hand operated park brakes work correctly when activated (if fitted).
· Inspect all rollers and slide ways are operating correctly.
· Inspect wheel bearings. Strip, clean and repack as required.
· Inspect, clean and lubricate required brake callipers, actuation cables, override couplings and associated fittings.
· Inspect, test, service braking system to trailer
On completion of the scheduled service provide written certification of inspection, maintenance undertaken, condition and that item is fit/unfit for purpose.
