Part 3. Background & Discernment Information

A.Describe the discernment process that you have used in developing the leading for this workshop. Please tell the committee how your interest and familiarity with this topic has developed and how it has been seasoned (e.g., personal experiences, a clearness committee, interaction with an elder or spiritual friend). If this workshop would be under the care of a specific Quaker group, for example Quaker Earthcare Witness, please include that information here.

B.Do you expect to have a companion in the ministry (which some call an “elder’) attend the workshop? If so, who?

C.Describe your experience in leading interactive workshops at the Gathering or in other religious or secular settings. A summary of this information may be included on the web page.

D.A letter of support is required that directly addresses your skills at leading the proposed workshop. If you offered a similar workshop at the 2015 or 2016 Gathering, tell us the title and your evaluations will substitute for a letter. Otherwise, send the separate Workshop Leader(s) Letter of Support formto one or more Friends who are familiar with your ability to give an interactive workshop on this topic. Ideally one of these Friends would have previously attended the Gathering. We need to receive letters of support by September 30. They should be sent to the Clerk of the Workshop Subcommittee at the FGC office (address below) or emailed to .
