HAVE

YOU EVER WONDERED…

What would it be like to run 26.2 miles? Have you ever thought about being part of the biggest running event in London? Could you raise £1000 for Time & Talents? Last year, our marathon team raised an amazing amount of over £17,500 and Time & Talents has 15 places on its team for this year’s marathon which takes place on Saturday 22nd April 2001.

The marathon is a once in a lifetime experience (except for Ian our director who is preparing for his 15th lifetime experience!) and if you have always wondered about running the marathon but have thought it beyond your means, why not take this opportunity to prove to yourself that you can do it. We will provide you with a guaranteed place, free kit, free membership to the Time & Talents running club, the Trotters, and as much advice and help as we can give on how to train. What we need from you is determination to both run and raise for Time & Talents. If you are interested in running, sponsoring our runners or would like any other information, please do not hesitate to contact us at the centre.

CHRISTMAS EVENTS
Our other Christmas orientated events include the annual carol singing at Charing Cross station. This fun filled event takes place on Monday 18th December from 4pm-8pm. There is also the Choral Society’s Evening of Christmas Music which takes place on Saturday 2nd December from 7-8pm at the Norwegian Church in Rotherhithe. If you would like any details about the above events, do not hesitate to call the Centre.

Please be aware that the Centre will be officially closed from Saturday 23rd December 2000 to Wednesday 3rd January 2001. We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

HELLO AND GOODBYE

Since the last newsletter, we have welcomed some new members of staff, as well as said goodbye to some. Cindy Glover and Sarah Goodall have joined Time & Talents in order to run the Up & Away Project. Some of you no doubt know Sarah as our trusty administrator, however from now on she will be manning the administration for 15 hours a week.

Congratulations to Kate Dean and family on the birth of their new baby Eleanor, a sister for Alexander.

Lauren Manning has joined us as the new Yoga teacher and has replaced Mandy whom we would like to thank for all her hard work in her classes.

Jo Churchill, who has been with Time & Talents for over 7 years has also left us as fundraiser & events co-ordinator. Thank you for all your hard work and support Jo, you will be sorely missed!

We are also very sad to announce that Brenda Natzler, a faithful member of the Friends, sadly died on 8th October. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and our thoughts remain with her family and friends through this difficult time.

TIME & TALENTS CHRISTMAS CARD

Christmas and New Year are already creeping upon us and Time & Talents is proud to introduce its first official Christmas card.

The front of the card is taken from an original watercolour by Lady Caroline Hervey-Bathurst and depicts a view of part of St. Mary’s Rotherhithe from the park and reads “With best wishes for Christmas and the New Year”. The cards come in packs of ten and are priced at £3.00 (+ 50p p&p) per pack.

If you would like to order some, please fill in the form below and return it to the Time & Talents Centre.

Thank you for your support.

TIME & TALENTS CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS

Time & Talents also has its own gift ideas. What about some ‘Rotherhithe Village’ tea towels which depict many of our local landmarks. These are both useful and interesting for those friends and relatives that live abroad or do not know the area or simply as a stocking filler. They are priced at £3.00 (+50p p&p) each and are available in both black on white, or green on white.

We also have some Time & Talents T-shirts which are white with the Time & Talents logo. These make useful night wear for those unexpected guests, look good whilst out running, are great for kids to get mucky in and are priced at £1.99 (+50p.p&p).
