Working together to transform lives

23 March 2017

Dear potential applicant,

Thank you very much for your interest in the post of Lead: Partnership and Champion Network Development. The post holder will have responsibility for:

·  promoting Reducing the Risk’s Domestic Abuse Champion approach nationally,

·  providing consultancy to other areas across the UK in developing coordinated multi-agency front line practice to tackle abuse

·  evaluating the approach

This is an exciting new post which will enable us to make a ‘step change’ in regional and national promotion of our model of developing local multi-agency networks to tackle abuse. This is to meet the need for coordinated early intervention and integrated practice to keep vulnerable adults and children safe. Our Training and Development Manager has made significant strides in supporting other areas to develop the approach. However, we have lacked capacity to fully promote and evaluate it.

Lloyds Bank Foundation have given us a two-year grant achieve this. They have a strong investment in the project as part of their belief in working with local charities which have developed innovative practice and have the potential to transform national policy. The grant covers the new post and some research costs. It is envisaged that the post-holder will work in tandem with the current Training and Development Manager and will also have mentoring support from a member of our advisory group with extensive experience of project evaluation.

I am attaching a Job Description, and Person Specification and an application form. Please will you return your application by Tuesday 18 April to . As part of our short-listing process we may wish to conduct a short telephone interview on Friday 21 April and final interviews will be on Friday 28 April.

Information about the Champions and the post is contained in the job description. Please also see our website for further information about the charity and our services. You are also welcome to contact Romy Briant (Chair) on 01865 558314 or Michelle Plaisted-Kerr (Training and Development Manager) on 07486 688649 if you would like more information.

Thank you again for your interest,

Romy Briant
