(one or two sentences) / Expand Tutoring at EVC to support the new campus, particularly in diverse communities where ESL is a challenge. Try to find creative funding for this project.
3. College goals/action strategies / Goal II D Explore new avenues and partnerships for cooperatively funding programs to assure continued tutor support for this area. Explore expanding upon the DACE Foundation Funding
Goal IE Support learner success by identifying gaps in student success and intervening to close those gaps.
Goal II Strengthen existing programs, as we move into the new EVC campus more tutoring will be needed, especially since the core courses to be offered all require tutoring.
VPSS 2.1 Promote the Basic Skills Initiative agenda with collaborations by Student Services with Academic Affairs.
4. Area needs and priority / There are some funds available through the DACE Foundation explicitly targeted to support EVC Tutoring, but that fund needs to be built upon.
