Sentence Because professor Ogle allowed his students to choose their final grades, the other teachers believed that he was excessively lenient.

Student News

  • Students if you would like to nominate any of your teachers at NPA for The Silver Apple Award, which is a Teaching Award for Excellence,please stop by the main reception desk for an application and more information.
  • Anyone interested in the High School Mountain Bike Race Team there will be a meeting at lunch in Mr. Hines’ room (200) this Wednesday, September 10th.
  • Family Link Lingo: FYI, NA = pending completion (no effect on gpa at this time, but student is expected to make up work), EX = permanently excused (no makeup necessary), Blank = temporary zero (adversely impacting gpa but can still be corrected by submission of work), 0 = permanent 0 (teacher will no longer accept this work)
  • Tip of the Hat Pass. During your ILS class TODAY, Sept. 9 or Wednesday Sep.t 10 your ILS teachers will be asking you to show them that you can access your Family Link account. If you can accomplish this, that teacher will reward your efforts with a “Tip of the Hat” pass allowing you to wear a hat in school on Friday Sept. 12th.
  • It’s College Rep Visit time! Below are the scheduled colleges that will be on campus:

Sept 12- Duke University, 4thperiod Sept 24- Hampshire College, 6th period

Oct 2- Illinois Institute of Technology, 2nd period Whitworth University, 3rd period

Carlton College, 4th period University of Great Falls, 5th period

Whittier College, 6th period Lewis and Clark College, 7th period

Oct 3- Middlebury College, 6th period

Any junior or senior interested in these colleges should stop by the admin desk and sign up.

  • Attention Juniors: Mrs. Boerwinkle will be working on Sinagua parking this week. We have a NEW parking form for Sinagua parking so please stop by the front desk and pick one up. Even if you have already filled out an old form, you need to get a new one and have it filled out and signed by a parent or guardian. Please bring the form, a $15.00 payment, a copy of your driver’s license and a copy of your current insurance to Mrs. Boerwinkle. Thanks!
  • Picture Day will be on Wednesday 9/17.Retakes will be taken only in the event of an absence on picture day, or for extreme circumstances.
  • Attention Seniors! Yearbook needs your senior photos, childhood photos, and senior quotes. The deadline to turn these in is Wednesday, October 1st. Please email them to . Digital copies are a necessity so either email the photos or send in a CD orflash drive. Also, vertical headshots that are 300 dpi jpeg are a must. All of this information will be updated on the NPA website (under yearbook)it will also be sent out to all seniors. If there are any questions, please talk to Caleb Ring, Quinn Scully, Corrin Kalinich, or Mr. Brosseau. Thank you!

  • NJHS meeting on Thursday, September 11thin Room 205 at lunch.
  • Interested in going on a river trip? Well here’s your chance. TODAY, September 9th we will have our first Grand Canyon Youth Middle School meeting! Come see what all the buzz is about and learn more. We will meet in Mrs. Brown’s room at lunch in room 807.
  • Our first Middle School Student Council meeting will be on Thursday, Sept. 11th during lunch in Ms. Cox’s Room 803. Come join us to plan out our year of social activities and charitable events. Bring your lunch and great ideas…all middle schoolers are welcome!!!
  • Tinker Tuesdays will meet from 3:5-4:45 every Tuesday after school in the Multipurpose room. Be a part of the Lego robotics competition team, tinker with robotics or tinker with Little Bits electronics. See you there!
