Aim of the Conference:
Our primary aim was to draw public attention to the importance of women’s equality and to provide a forum for the discussion of the unique challenges and experiences characteristic of the region.
By fostering international professional cooperation and knowledge transfer with Polish and Slovakian NGOs, we hope to promote the extension of employment and a more equitable representation of gender equality in tune with the economic goals of the European Union and its stability and growth strategy.
Our aim was also to make a viable contribution to the national stand on and proposals for improved diversity, employment and competitiveness in line with the Hungarian and Polish EU presidency.
Besides well-known Hungarian experts there were also speakers from Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Finland, Australia and the U.S. at the conference.
In the interest of the successful dissemination of accumulated experience, we are launching a sustainable online forum on our website.
With regard to the 2011 – European Year of Volunteering, all three NGOs were committed to setting up volunteer teams to help spread the word about the conference and help realize its objectives.
