Nothing within these terms and conditions affects your statutory rights.
Offers of a Place

- We operate a waiting list for all new applicants. If we are unable to meet your specific requests or start date, we will try and offer a mutually agreeable alternative.
- Places are offered strictly subject to availability and allocated in accordance with our admissions policy. You will be contacted via email or phone to be offered a place.
- In order to confirm a place parents will be required to pay a £50 deposit. The fee will be deducted from the first invoice or for children over 3 years old, in the first term following our first FEL headcount. Deposits will not be returned if a place is cancelled before a child is due to start.
- We are over - subscribed so not all applications will be successful.
- Bookings must extend over a minimum of two days with a minimum of 3hours booked per day
- All sessions must comply with those outlined on the booking forms.
- If a child does not settle within the first month, places can be withdrawn or cancelled. There will be no refunds for the first month`s invoice. The normal period of notice will be waved by the nursery. This does not apply to any other reason for the cancellation of a child`s place.
Early Years Free Entitlement and the 30 hour top up for working parents
- For new three year old starters accessing their free 15 hour grant places,or existing children increasing their sessions once they are eligible for their FEL entitlement, the start dates will be limited to September and January only. Any child eligible for grants from April, will be required to book and pay from the January beforehand OR delay starting till the following September. This is to reduce a loss in revenue by `holding` places from September.
- Existing children already using at least 15 hourswill be able to access their grant funding from the term after their third birthday. This also applies to top up 30 hour places.
- Parents must inform Wizz Kids if any hours are being taken at a second provider to ensure that you are not claiming more hours than the free entitlement
- We will provide the allocated free hours with NO ADDITIONAL COSTS.Government funding is intended to cover the cost to deliver 15 or 30 hours a week of free, high quality, flexible childcare. It is not intended to cover the cost of meals, consumables, additional hours or additional services.
- Parents accessing the top up 30 hours, are requested to pay a voluntary fee of £50 p.c.m. to cover consumables including snacks and arts and crafts.
- It is the parent`s responsibility to register their details on the CHILDCARE CHOICES website to claim top up 30 hours for working parents.
- Alongside the 30 hours eligibility code, which is the child’s unique 11-digit number, and original copies of documentation , a provider must acquire written consent from, or on behalf of, the parent to be able to receive confirmation and future notifications from the local authority of the validity of the parent’s 30 hours eligibility code.
Cancellation or alteration of Booked Spaces
- We require two full calendar months’ notice and written confirmation of any cancellation of a place, or a reduction in hours. This includes those families who are waiting to start and have paid a deposit to confirm their place.
- If you wish to reduce the number of hours attended at Wizz Kids, causing a loss of revenue for Wizz Kids, your contract will be terminated after the notice period is served. If we agree to accommodate your request, a new contract will be drawn up.
- There will be no refunds given for children failing to attend through illness or holidays for term time contracts. There will be no refunds for illness or unauthorised holiday absence for full time contracts.
- You must inform us if your child is unable to attend nursery for any reason and Wizz Kids will record all attendances complying with Sheffield`s ` Children Missing from Pre-school` policy
- In accordance with the Code of Practice on the delivery of Early Years Free Entitlement funding, grants will be paid for entitled children who go on holiday for up to 3 weeks in any academic year, any additional weeks will have to be invoiced for by Wizz Kids as the LEA will deduct our funding accordingly.
- If a child receiving Free Entitlement Funding misses the same block of funded hours for 3 consecutive weeks we will speak to you regarding the situation as funding may be withdrawn
- If you book additional sessions after the monthly invoice has gone out, these will be added to your next month`s invoice
- If a parent wishes to swap between a full and term time contract, the normal period of notice is required and a new contract will be required.
