Professional History
Stephanie Gaines joined the firm in 1984 as a Project Architect and has been a Principal of Curts Gaines Hall since 1992.
Prior to joining Curts Gaines Hall, she was employed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where her professional experience included historic preservation of national landmark buildings, luxury custom residences in the traditional character of southern architectural styles, HUD financed housing, and commercial projects for various local and state Government Agencies .
While in the Architecture curriculum at Louisiana State University, she received numerous scholarships from The American Institute of Architects (AIA) and was recipient of an AIA "Award for Excellence" for her academic achievements. In addition to the required Architecture curriculum she completed several special courses focused on historic architecture of the region.
Since joining CGH she has been extensively involved in residential, commercial and hospitality projects for both the private and public sectors. She has completed recreational and resort facilities for such prestigious clients as Jack Nicklaus Development Corporation along with Tampa's RG's restaurants and renovations/additions for Guest Quarters Suite Hotels. Her residential experience includes single family custom and speculative residences, multi family town homes, mid-rise condominiums and urban in-fill projects which range in price from affordable to luxury.
Ms. Gaines' special interest in urban renewal and historic preservation has led to an extensive personal commitment to the preservation and revitalization of historic urban communities as well as the successful design of numerous historic adaptive reuse projects and new urban in-fill projects for uses including retail, business, restaurant and residential loft apartments.
