This Indenture made this seventy day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight, between David Huddleston of the County of Rutherford and State of North Carolina of the one part and Andrew Logan of the same county and state of the other part, witnesseth, that the said David Huddleston for and in consideration of the sum of twenty lawfull money of said State to him in hand paid by the said Andrew Logan have granted bargained sold allinated ensoosed conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien ensoof convey confirm and his heirs and assigns a part of a tract of land situate lying and being in the said County of Rutherford on a branch of Second Broad River and bounded as follows, beginning at a black oak in his old line thence South forty eight east four poles to his beginning corner thence with said line South eighteen east eighteen poles to a red oak thence north twenty one east four poles to Moors corner white oak thence north twenty one east one hundred and sixty poles to his corner white oak thence with the line of said survey south fiftythree west forty four poles to a post oak in said line thence a Direct line to the beginning according to the courses thereof, containing by estimation twenty acres be the same more or les being one half of a forty acre survey granted to the said David Huddleston Senr by patent bearing date the 18th day of December in the year of our Lord 1797 in the 22nd year of our American Independence to these presents; with the appurtainances and ??? ??? belonging and appertaining with all and singular the rights titles interest property claim and demand whatsoever of him the said David Huddleston Senr unto the said Andrew Logan his heirs and assigns of and unto the said land and premises hereby granted and the said David Huddleston Senr by virtue of a patent bearing date as above mentined do hereby covenant and agree with the said Andrew Logan for himself his heirs and assigns that at the sealing and delivering of these presents is lawfully possessed of said deed and hereby hath sufficient power to convey the same and doth by these present warrant and defend the land and premises hereby granted from himself his heirs and assigns and all other person lawfully claiming the same unto the said Andrew Logan his heirs and assigns in fee simple forever; in witness whereof the said David Huddleston hath hereunto set his hand ans seal the day and year first above written.
