TO BE READ AND SIGNED BY THE PRIEST WHO WILL OFFICIATE AT YOUR MARRIAGE

In order to clarify the role of the priest who will officiate at this Marriage and the role of theAlumni Office, in regard to this Marriage, the following are the stipulations in effect for all Marriages in

Saint Joseph Chapel:

THE PRIEST CHOSEN TO OFFICIATE WILL:

  1. oversee the required pre-marriage instructions;
  2. attend to the pre-nuptial investigation and to all the required Marriage forms;
  3. apply for any and all dispensations necessary;
  4. inform the proper parishes concerning the publication of Banns;
  5. return the required pre-nuptial investigation forms and any necessary dispensations to the

Blessed Sacrament Cathedralat least eight weeks prior to the date of the Marriage;

  1. conduct the scheduled rehearsal; one hour will be allotted for rehearsal. (If the rehearsal is late

starting due to the late arrival of members of the wedding party, the allotted time will be reduced by

the amount of time that the rehearsal is delayed.);

  1. abide by the existing regulations of the Diocese of Greensburg concerning the celebration of

the Sacrament of Marriage;

  1. sign the Marriage License and forward the various parts of the License to the proper parties,

i.e., one to the couple, one to civil authority and one (to be kept with the marriage forms)

to the Alumni Office.

THE ALUMNI OFFICE WILL:

  1. procure the permission of the proper pastor, through the couple;
  2. procure the proper delegation from the pastor/parochial vicar of Blessed Sacrament

Cathedral, Greensburg;

  1. enter the information in the Marriage Register of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral;

I, THE PRIEST WHO WILL OFFICIATE AT THIS MARRIAGE, HAVE READ THE ABOVE STIPULATIONS. I UNDERSTAND MY ROLE WITHIN THE MARRIAGE AND THAT OF THE ALUMNI OFFICE AND I HEREBY AGREE TO ABIDE BY THESE STIPULATIONS.
