How to earn more and raise your profile locally

Are you charging enough?? Think about your pricing.

Nearly new sale

Hire a hall (or ‘blag’ it for free for charity), invite Mums to pay a small fee to have a stand to sell their second hand stuff. They will also need to help you promote it by spreading the word to buyers (friends at their other groups). Charge a small fee to attend. This can also work well in the first months of the New Year. Maybe visit an NCT one they have been doing them for years so really know what to do. Donate a raffle prize of block of classes or similar.

Speak to the health professionals

Speak to the local health professionals, let them know how well trained you are and how passionate you are to help local Mums.

Offer free sessions for your Health visitor /GP/Local physios etc to hand to someone who they feel would benefit, but may not come forward to join, or can’t afford it.

Write a column

Offer to write a small health column for your local paper or lifestyle magazine. This could be a one off for Christmas or New Year, or could be a relationship built and a column submitted each month. Papers and mags have cut their journalists, so rely on written news with photos being supplied!

Buggyfit blitz

Christmas buggyfit blitz- run classes everyday for a week or 2 weeks and get Mums to sign up for the full course. Little Black dress ‘pressure’!

Gift vouchers

Suggest they buy a buggyfit gift voucher for a relative/friend, or ask for one from a relative or friend for herself. We have photos of our beautiful gift wrapped vouchers, just ask and we can email it.

Sell merchandise

Just ask if you do not have a merchandise retail price with pics sheet and we will send you one. Laminate it (or some) and hand them around at the end of class. Or once a month tell everyone that you are placing an order- ‘do they want anything?’.

Add it to the bottom of your emails to them as a constant footnote: ’don’t forget to have a look at the buggyfit merchandise on offer- great items for you and the babies’!

You could also suggest this for a new baby present and put together a Gift bundle: T shirt, kids tee, resistance band and waterbottle??

This has proven very successful for trainers who do it and can really add to your income and looks great at class.

The Baby Race 2014

Set a date to hold your ‘in class’ baby race. Train them for the 2014 Baby race and keep them coming to class throughout the winter to keep their training up.
